Expressions and Emotions

Emotion detection​

Adorii uses an emotion classifier that analyzes the sentiment of each message in the conversation. This determines which facial expression and animation the companion's avatar displays.

Expression types​

Companions can display a range of expressions:

  • Happy — smiling, bright eyes, upbeat posture
  • Surprised — wide eyes, raised eyebrows
  • Thoughtful — slight head tilt, contemplative gaze
  • Sad — downcast eyes, softer posture
  • Neutral — relaxed, natural resting expression

Smooth blending​

Expressions transition smoothly between states rather than snapping from one to another. If your companion goes from thoughtful to happy, you will see a gradual shift in facial features. This creates a natural, lifelike appearance.

Sync with voice​

During voice chat, expressions are synchronized with speech audio. The avatar's mouth moves with lip sync while facial expressions reflect the emotional content of what is being said.

Availability​

Expressions and emotion-driven animations are available on all plans, including Free. They work automatically — no setup or configuration required.
